Guest lecture on Electrical Safety

Department of electrical was arranged guest lecture on "Electrical safety" for All S.Y and T.Y students on 17/01/2018.The speaker was D.R.Sabnis(Assistant Engineer,Electrical Inspection Division oras) & Mr.S.C Jagajinn i( Ret.Assistant Engineer,MESB)


Electrical Safety Week

20 students of Electrical Department participated as a vidyut Suraksha doot on the behalf of Electrical safety week on 11/01/2018 to 17/01/2018 organised by ministry of energy department Government of Maharashtra.


Electrical department grabs first prize at state level paper presentation

Siddharth Remane and Rajkumar Chavan from the electrical department of Yashwantrao Bhonsale Polytechnic grabbed the first prize in the state level paper presentation competition organized by Maharashtra state board of technical education, Mumbai. They were rewarded with the certificates and cash prize worth rupees seven thousand five hundred at the hands of jury committee members. Both the students received valuable guidance from electrical department faculty.


EESA celebrates Guru Pournima with great fervor

The Students from electrical department observed the day of Guru Pournima with lots of vigor and vivacity. They expressed their gratitude towards the teaching as well as non-teaching staff and offered the combo of a rose & a pen as a token of their respect. They made colorful decorations to grace the event. Various activities were performed by EESA members to underline the importance of teachers and to exhibit their gratefulness towards them.


Tree plantation drive

Electrical department participated enthusiastically in the tree Plantation Drive organised at Yashwantrao Bhonsale Polytechnic on 6th July 2017. Different types of fruits & flower saplings were planted in the campus. All the students & teaching staff from electrical department actively contributed to the drive. D.D.Patil, HOD of Electrical department, Mandar Ghawali, Balasaheb Patil, Dayanand Davane, Teja Shenai, Harshal Pawar & Shruti Hewalkar strove hard to make the plantation very successful.


Faculty training at SIEMENS LTD

Mandar Ghawali and Harshal Pawar, lecturers from electrical department attended five days extensive industrial training at SIEMENS LTD, Airoli, Navi Mumbai from 17th-21st Oct 2016. Subject of training was Basics of Automation by using PLC.


Industrial Visit to Power Engineers Kolhapur

Electrical students visited Power Engineers Kolhapur, one of the leading large scale transformer manufacturing company on 24th Sept 2016 to be well acquainted with more organised process of transformer manufacturing. Established in 1977, keeping emphasis on high professional standards Power engineers has evolved from just a service provider to a leading transformer supplier to various electrical industries over the period.


Electrical Safety System in M.S.E.B.

Electrical Safety for Man and Machine is an indispensable requirement for every electrical installation. A high level of personnel, operational and system safety in electrical installations is the primary goal all those who are responsible for installation. To explain how the electrical safety is maintained by MSEB for the various electrical installations in industrial, residential and functional buildings, a guest lecture was organised on Electrical Safety System in MSEB. PLC Software Industrial Expert Lecture

To stress the importance of PLC Software which is now a days widely used in industry, a guest lecture was organised for electrical students. Raghawendra Katti, Marketing executive for training, Micro-log systems & technology Pvt Ltd, Pune and Ayyaz Nadaf, Senior trainer from PLC Automation were the guest speakers.


Guru Pournima celebration

Guru Pournima was celebrated by electrical students with great fervor and enthusiasm. All the teachers were welcomed and felicitated on the auspicious occasion. Students also delivered speeches especially in attribution towards their gurus and sought their blessings.


MOU with L.R.Enterprises Kudal

Memorandum of understanding was signed with L.R.Enterprises, Kudal which is a small scale transformer manufacturing unit. Sincere efforts by Mandar Ghawali, Harshad Pawar and Rohit Jadhav, lecturers from electrical department help this important MOU to be in successful execution. It will enable students to get in-depth training about manufacturing process and also lead them towards understanding of professional practices.


Industrial Visit to L.R.Enterprises Kudal

A transformer is an electrical device that transfers electrical energy between two or more circuits through electromagnetic induction. Transformers are used to increase or decrease the alternating voltages in electric power applications. To study the internal working of small scale transformer manufacturing industry, students from Electrical department visited L.R.Enterprises, Kudal on 28th Aug 2016.


Industrial Visit to Power Substation Insuli

An electrical substation is a subsidiary station of an electricity generation, transmission and distribution system where voltage is transformed from high to low or the reverse using transformers. Electrical engineering students visited Power Substation located at Insuli, Tal. Sawantwadi to get in-depth knowledge regarding its internal working environment on 24th Aug 2016.


Guest lecture on Middle East Job Opportunities

To discuss the scope and opportunities for diploma holders in gulf countries, a guest lecture was arranged. Sudhir Jagtap, Q.C.Engineer & Management Representative, Interplast Co.Ltd, Sharjah, U.A.E. was the invited guest speaker. While delivering his speech he touched various aspects like the climatic conditions, job opportunities, working culture, taxation system and lifestyle in middle east countries.


YBP inks MOU with DTPS

An MOU was inked between YBP and DTPS (Dahanu Thermal Power Station). DTPS is a coal based thermal power plant located at coastal Dahanu town in Palghar district. It has an installed capacity of 500 MW. The power plant was commissioned in 1995 and is commercially producing power since 1996. Deepak Patil, HOD Electrical Department took sincere efforts for signing of this important MOU.
